Hotjar
This website uses the web analytics service Hotjar by Hotjar Ltd, based in Malta. Hotjar enables tracking of user movements on our website—for example, how far users scroll and what buttons they click. This helps us improve the user experience. We ensure protection of personal data by only tracking interactions like button clicks, mouse paths, scroll behavior, screen resolution, device type, browser information, country location, and browser language. Hotjar allows users to opt-out via a "Do Not Track" header. More info at: https://www.hotjar.com/policies/do-not-track/
Browser Plugin
You can prevent the storage of cookies. Additionally, you can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie (including your IP address) and its processing by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin at: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en
IP Anonymization
IP anonymization is active on this website. This means Google shortens your IP address within EU or EEA member states before transferring it to the USA. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
Demographic Characteristics
This website uses the “demographics” feature of Google Analytics, allowing reports on age, gender, and interests. This data comes from Google's interest-based advertising and third-party visitor data. It cannot be linked to a specific individual and can be disabled in your Google account’s ad settings.
Google AdWords and Conversion Tracking
We use Google AdWords with conversion tracking. When you click a Google ad, a cookie is set for tracking purposes. These cookies cannot be tracked across AdWords clients’ websites. The data is used to generate conversion statistics for AdWords customers who opted into conversion tracking. You will not be personally identified. You can opt-out by disabling the conversion tracking cookie in your browser settings.
Newsletter with Brevo
Our newsletter is sent via «Brevo», a newsletter and marketing platform operated by Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany.
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process the data you provide, in particular your email address and, where applicable, additional information such as your name, company or interests. The newsletter is sent on the basis of your consent.
We use Brevo to send, manage and analyse our newsletter. The data required for this purpose is transmitted to Brevo and processed there on our behalf. Brevo processes this data as a processor in accordance with our instructions.
We have concluded a data protection agreement, respectively a data processing agreement, with Brevo. This agreement forms part of Brevo’s general terms of use. Brevo therefore undertakes to process personal data only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with appropriate technical and organisational security measures. Brevo states that personal data is processed on servers located in the EU.
Further information on data protection at Brevo can be found here: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/
Statistical evaluation and analysis
Our newsletters may contain functions that allow us to evaluate whether a newsletter has been opened and which links have been clicked. For this purpose, technical information may be processed, for example the time of access, IP address, browser information, device used and information about the links clicked.
These evaluations help us improve the content of our newsletter, increase its relevance for recipients and make our communication more user friendly. The evaluations are not intended to monitor individual persons without cause. They are used to better understand general reading behaviour and to further develop our content accordingly.
Unsubscription and withdrawal
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time and withdraw your consent. An unsubscribe link can be found at the end of every newsletter.
After unsubscribing, your data will generally be removed from the active newsletter mailing list. Further storage may take place if this is necessary to provide proof of previously given consent, to prevent renewed newsletter delivery, to comply with legal obligations or to safeguard legitimate interests.
WhatsApp Channel
We operate an information channel on WhatsApp, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms Inc. (USA). When you subscribe to our WhatsApp channel, WhatsApp processes data such as your device information, usage metadata (e.g. access times, interactions), and the account information you have stored on WhatsApp. We ourselves only receive anonymized channel statistics; other subscribers cannot see your data.
WhatsApp/Meta may also process data on servers in the United States. In this context, access by US authorities cannot be ruled out. For more information, please refer to WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you give by subscribing to the channel. You can unsubscribe from our channel at any time directly in WhatsApp.
Statistical Collection and Analysis
The newsletters contain a "web beacon", a pixel-sized file that is retrieved when the newsletter is opened. This collects technical information (e.g., browser, IP address, access time). These are used to improve services and analyze user behavior. Data such as opens, time of open, and clicks are tracked. While technically traceable to individuals, neither we nor MailChimp aim to track individual users but instead aim to adjust content to user interests.
Unsubscribe / Withdrawal
You can unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time. This also revokes your consent for sending and tracking via MailChimp. An unsubscribe link is provided at the end of every newsletter.
